My parents used have medicaid to cover their drugs. They got a letter in 2005 from the insurance company that said they will automatically transfer my parents to a new medicare D plan. My parents waited untill 2006 but have not received any information about their new plan. I called the company today. They said they can not offer the medicare D to them because my parents only have Medicare B plan. Can you kindly tell me how my parents can do now?

The best thing I can suggest is to contact the Social Security Administration (1-800-772-1213) to confirm that your parents are still eligible for the Medicare Part D "extra help"  program.

If you wish, you can enter your parent's medication information in our enrollment worksheet and then we can tell you which plan would be the most economical for your parents based on their medications.
